Southern Railway has announced special trains for the benefit of people intending to visit Coimbatore for the conference, while the state government has declared a holiday for educational institutions to enable students participate in the event.
Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Semmozhi Kalaivizha, the cultural show organized as part of the World Classical Tamil Conference in Coimbatore last evening.
Chief Minister Mr M.Karunanidhi leaves for industrial city this morning and will visit the especially designed conference hall giving final touches for this mega event.
In an interview to AIR, Chief Minister said that the conference assumes significance as it is being organized for the first time, after the language was accorded classical status. He invited people to gather in large numbers to make the five day event a grand success.
